Rafael Torres

Rafael A. Torres joined the Trinity family in September of 2011.  He comes from a family of musicians

and singers.  As a child, he began taking piano lessons with the church pianist.  At the age of 5, he

began making a joyful noise unto the Lord and hasn’t stopped singing since.  Throughout the years,

he has been a member of and recorded with different Christian music bands, choirs and worship teams.

At present, he is a member of Concordia Choir and he is a church pianist at Trinity.  He and his lovely

wife, Lourdes, have two wonderful sons, Emanuel and Jonathan, who are also passionate about music.  Rafael maintains that true musicians and singers don’t share their God-given gifts because they want

to… they must.

Pam McAllister

Pam grew up in rural, small town New York, where she got her start as a church musician at age 15. She has been playing organ and piano and conducting church choirs ever since. What she loves most are hymns. A member of the Hymn Society, Pam has written hymn meditations, magazine columns, and short plays about hymn writers. She has a blog, "Ask Her About Hymn," writing from a progressive Christian point of view. Here’s one about Martin Luther King’s favorite hymn:

Pam is a published writer, poet, author of ten books on subjects from Shakespeare and Agatha Christie to feminism, nonviolence, and women’s history. She has lived in Brooklyn since 1974 and loves it. A woman of faith bent on finding the sacred in the ordinary, Pam is excited to join the worship team at Trinity Lutheran!
